Okay, today is another highlight, but… prepare for a shock… this is not a Makeup Revolution product! I know, there’s been a lot of them lately. No, today I’m bringing you 2 shades of the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powders.
“MUA’s highlighting powder instantly radiates and lifts any complexion. This can be applied all over for an added radiance or applied to the cheek bones and under the brow bone to lift and accentuate your natural features.” – MUA’s website.
These two were actually the first two highlights that I ever bought. I had always used eyeshadows to highlight beforehand and didn’t give much thought to buying separate product. That feels like a lifetime ago now.
I have to admit, I went on a little bit of a highlighter binge for a while, and unfortunately these fell a little by the way side, and after playing with them and swatching them for photos, I can only ask myself why. The texture of these powders is an absolute dream. These are baked, so they’re very soft, smooth and give a high shine but glitter free finish. Plus, for £3 you get a lot of product. These are not small pans, and I can’t see myself hitting pan any time soon.
MUA -Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder
This is a bright, white gold highlight. I always felt like I should shy away from golden highlighters, considering I am very pale. However, they have come to be one of my favourite shades. It can be a little intense if you’re heavy handed, which can be a bit of a shock if you’re not used to that kind of look, but it can be extremely beautiful. I also really love to use a disposable spoolie to scrape some of this powder out and mix it with my moisturizer for a subtle all over glow, or mixing into my foundation.

As the name suggests, this is a pink toned highlight. It’s very, very pretty, and it’s the kind of shade that will suit a range of different skin tones. It also looks stunning as an overlay on a pink blush to give a radiant glow.

Also, I really love these two shades mixed together, as it gives an interesting duo-chrome effect. I love using highlights that aren’t necessarily natural, and I just think these two make a pretty and interesting combination.

There are 2 more shades in this range; Opalescent Amber and Radiant Cashmere. Those 2 are a little dark for my complexion so I gave them a miss, but I would recommend popping down to your local Superdrug to swatch them and see how they work with your skin tone.
